2019 JLUR Auto Start Stop Battery Bypass... Retain use of Auto Start Stop FREE

  • Admin

My Auto Start stop battery went dead...
Now I need a new start stop battery...

But instead...

Ill be pulling Fuse F42 which is a 10 amp

and then removing the ground from the top post of the battery and eliminating the Auto Start Stop Battery...

While still retaining Auto Start Stop features...

And well its free...

If you have an error light still showing up on dash you can disconnect battery for 15 minutes or continue to drive until system resets usually after 55 mph...

:)

I completed the isolation of the start stop ground wire it was the thicker of the two and the top one…

I pulled F42 10 amp fuse then tape wrapped the end of ground and zip tied it to the bundle and walla auto start stop works perfectly and I successfully by passed the small battery for good…

Strange thing is not all JL/JLU/JTU come with the auxiliary battery. A friend has a 23 JLU and she has the battery box but no cables or battery in the box.

When I bought my gladiator the start stop never worked! When I removed the small battery after it drained both, I disconnected the cable to the small battery, replaced main battery and now start stop is engaging 🤷 Okay I'm confused 😕 🤣

You should check to see if the fuse has been removed... That F42 one and see :) I removed mine with the cable then taped it well and zip ties it back and Works without the smaller battery as I mentioned...

I wish my grandkids were keeping me busy. Especially the 3 younger ones. Their parents don't think that we are safe enough for them to be around with us supporting our president.

  • Jeepers

Wow😞 having a similar issue with my oldest daughter 😑 not the president part but she has decided I'm not good enough for her children! Must be a new trend! Disagree with anything and they cut you off 🤷 I'm sorry that is happening to you. Sometimes adult children suck!

  • Jeepers

Sorry that is happening to you too. These 30 yr olds these days need some help. I know my wasn't raised that way.

  • Jeepers

Agree 🤷 I have 4 children and she is my oldest daughter 36 years old. We have always had a good relationship, or so I thought. Out of the blue I'm toxic 😪 it seems to be the cool thing to do these days. Have a disagreement just cut them off 🤷 I know I wasn't a perfect mother but I still have no idea what I did to deserve this. So, I wait and hope she gets through whatever is going on with her. I've learned that I can't stop living my life waiting for her to love me back!

On another note 😁 I removed the fuse! Still the same. I don't want the start stop at all but 🤷 this is what I found about it. I would have a light on my dash if I disconnect the hood sensor! My ocd will not allow a light to on my dash 🤣
